Ladies shooting at Broadside

Despite shooting not receiving the media attention it merits, Great Britain’s achievements in international competitions over the years have been second to none and some of our greatest shooters have been women. At the Commonwealth Games in 2002, 15-year-old Charlotte Kerwood won a gold medal for her clay pigeon skills. More recently at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne UK’s best women shots recently won 11 medals including five gold medals.ladies.jpg

At Broadside we recognise the difficult hurdles confronting many women participating in a predominantly male dominated sport. However the tide is somewhat changing and today more and more women are taking up shooting and proving they are just as proficient with a gun as their male colleagues.

Alongside our male instructors, Tracy Meston is at hand to make sure your experience is pleasurable and memorable. Tracy’s qualifications and experience are summarised as follows:

• Clay Pigeon Shooting Association (CPSA)- Accredited Clay Shooting Instructor
• NVQ L12 in Coaching and Teaching
• Qualified English Sporting Referee
• CPSA South East Regional Director
• Associate Member of the Institute of Clay Shooting Instructors (ICSI)
• Member of the SE Region CPSA Safety & Coaching team

We provide all our lady shooters with less powerful guns such as 20 bore and 410 shotguns, which have reduced recoil.
