GB shooters nail down 2008 spots

Britain's shooters earned three places for the 2008 Olympics with several encouraging performances in the ISSF World Championships in Zagreb. Richard Faulds, who won gold in 2000, won a Beijing place in the men's double trap with a qualification score of 142, including one perfect round of 50. Other places were earned by Lesley Goddard, fourth in the women's trap, and Elena Little (8th; women's skeet). Britain young shooters also won three golds in the junior events.
